The "Bolsheviks" and the "Epstein Class"
Commentators use the word "Bolshevik" to describe a ruling class that, once it has the power to execute its own citizens, will turn that power on the people who oppose it.

Overview
Who the Bolsheviks were. The Bolsheviks were the Lenin-led faction that took power in Russia in October 1917. Within a year they had created the Cheka, a secret police force, and declared the "Red Terror." The Red Terror was a campaign of summary executions, hostage-taking and labor camps aimed at "class enemies." It grew into the Gulag system. Historians estimate that tens of thousands to well over a hundred thousand people were executed in the Red Terror alone, and that millions more died later in the camps. The historical lesson is that a state that gives itself the unchecked power to kill its political opponents will use it.
How the word is used today. In current political commentary, "Bolshevik" is shorthand for a ruling group that holds radical, unaccountable power and treats its opponents as threats to be eliminated rather than argued with. Candace Owens ties the word to what she calls the "Epstein class": the network of financiers, intelligence-linked operators and politicians associated with Jeffrey Epstein's blackmail network. This investigation's Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysis covers that network in more detail.
Why it matters for the deep state. The argument is not mainly about the morality of capital punishment in the abstract. It is a practical one, and it is the same as the argument against the Patriot Act. Any power citizens hand the state will be used by whoever controls the state. If that is a captured intelligence apparatus rather than voters, the power will be turned against dissidents. Charlie Kirk made this argument on camera before his assassination on September 10, 2025. Candace Owens resurfaced the clip in October 2026.
The Live-Streamed Execution Debate (October 2026)
In October 2026, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the military's execution of former Army Major Nidal Hasan, the 2009 Fort Hood shooter who killed 13 people, would be livestreamed. According to NBC News reporting, the plan drew pushback from Republicans and others. Critics warned that Hasan could become a martyr to others inclined toward mass violence. Military officials said Hasan, sentenced to death in 2013, would be executed by firing squad in December. President Trump first said he had "absolutely" approved the plan, then said no final decision had been made. According to Candace Owens's account in the video below, Trump later posted on Truth Social that the execution would not be livestreamed and that only victims' immediate family members could watch it if they chose to.
Candace Owens's response to the livestream proposal is the video on this page.

Key Statements
From video commentary by Candace Owens, October 16, 2026, including an archival clip of Charlie Kirk.
Candace Owens on the livestream proposal:
"We used to be a civilized society and debate the death penalty in general... Now we are suddenly at this radical point where people are trying to say it is totally legitimate for us to just live stream the death."
"We don't live in a theocracy. The Epstein class is in power. So you empower them to just start live executing people, right? This Bolshevik generation of people that are in control right now who have a penchant for harming children, and I feel like we're going to very quickly arrive upon a slippery slope."
Charlie Kirk (archival clip), on why he opposed the death penalty:
"I would say in America, I would oppose the death penalty for a very specific reason. Because right now, the trend is this current government will use any power we give them against us. And this is the Patriot Act argument, right? The moral argument, I'm totally on board. If we had a government that was ethical..."
"Right now, opposing the death penalty fits their agenda, which is to try to have compassion supersede justice. Right? But make no mistake. As soon as the actual Bolsheviks take over, they're gonna want to bring back [the death penalty]."
Candace Owens on Charlie Kirk's assassination (stated as her opinion):
"Charlie was not speaking about Pete Hegseth. He was not speaking about Donald Trump... And yet his words carry weight, especially because he was assassinated by, in my opinion, I'm allowed to have an opinion, the Epstein class... I don't believe Tyler Robinson did it alone on a rooftop."
"This is like a state sponsored snuff pornography... it was very weird to me to hear people just clamoring to watch somebody's soul leave their body."
Owens says plainly that her view of who was behind Charlie Kirk's assassination is her opinion. Tyler Robinson has been charged in the killing in Utah (State of Utah v. Tyler Alexander Robinson, Case No. 251403576), and the case has not been decided. Owens also criticized Pete Hegseth's livestream proposal and commentator Andrew Wilson's support for watching the execution. Those are her characterizations of their public positions.

In case you were following the administration and, you know, Pete Hegseth, who tries to pretend to be tough, he just kind of is always jogging with people in the military. Oh, I'll jog with you at 5 AM. Never mind, I'm going to send you to die for Israel, right? Well, one of his recent tough guy things was, we are going to be executing the Fort Hood shooter, and we're going to live stream it. Like, what? What are even what are we even speaking about right now? We used to be a civilized society and debate the death penalty in general. Like, do you support death penalty, why you support it, why you don't support it. Now we are suddenly at this radical point where people are trying to say it is totally legitimate for us to just live stream the death. Like that's a totally normal thing to want to watch someone die. The 400 shooter, by the way, Obviously not an innocent person. Uh, he murdered a lot of people. And you can say, I believe that he should be put to death. That's totally fine. But to then take the extreme of saying, I want to watch him die. It's like when we had people who were at 1st like, oh, I'm pro-choice because I learned in school that's a clump of cells. And then we suddenly had women who were wearing t-shirts. They're 9 months pregnant like I am and they're like, still not a baby, I'll kill it. And my producer had mentioned to me, it's like somebody being like, no, I want to watch you rip the baby from my from my womb, limb from limb for limb. This is where we're at now. and we're trying to pretend that this is conservative. People are trying to make theological arguments. Oh, well, this is what guys, we don't live in a theocracy. We don't live in a theocracy. The Epstein class is in power. So you empower them to just start live executing people, right? This Bolshevik generation of people that are in control right now who have a penchant for harming children, and I feel like we're going to very quickly arrive upon a slippery slope. And you know who else thought that? So brilliant ahead of his time. About what would happen if the, so to speak, Epstein class got that kind of power. Charlie Kirk. Take a listen.
I would say in America, I would oppose the death penalty for a very specific reason. Because right now, the trend is this current government will use any power we give them against us. And this is the Patriot Act argument, right? The moral argument, I'm totally on board. If we had a government that was ethical and understood, you know, duty and use... You're saying just, you think the government's so far gone that they're, they could, in the, practically right now in America, I think we should oppose the death penalty. Because they could start executing. Charlie Kirks of the world. No they would. They absolutely... Maybe. I don't know if it's that fargo. I mean. Like, it's pretty bad. I'm just saying, you know, it's setback. They did actually not, Charlie. They not doing it yet, at least. The death penalty part? Yeah, they barely carry out the death penalty at all. No, because right now, opposing the death penalty fits their agenda, which is to try to have compassion supersede justice. Right? But make no mistake. As soon as the actual Bolsheviks takeover, they're gonna want to bring back the geek. You're gonna come to this table. The idea that Michael Knowles and Charlie could still be in a gulag on Olba is like, No, no, no, no, we gotta wipe him off. He still a threat. He still breathing, right? We don't get the vacation to Alba. That's probably true. That's probably true. Agreed. Agreed.
And, of course, Charlie was not speaking about Pete Hegseth. He was not speaking about Donald Trump and that was not what he was thinking. And yet his words carry weights, especially because he was assassinated by, in my, my opinion, I'm allowed to have an opinion, the Epstein class, but him killed Charlie Kirk. Set up his assassination. That's that's my viewpoint. I don't believe Tyler Robinson did it alone. on a rooftop, and you do not want to empower the Epstein class to go around and commit executions based on what they deem to be worthy of live streaming these executions. It's so dark and Epstein coded, and it made me sick of this evening of debate, but yes, tell you quickly. Trump did issue a truth social post where he established that Nidal Malik Hassan, who was the former U.S. Army major turned traitor, would not be executed. It would not be live streamed. And he wrote a long post. He said he was scum. Uh, but there are well-meaning people who would rather not watch him die. Also, he's paraplegic. I don't know how that's going to play on TV. Why people are like suddenly wanting to watch that? If you were a person who, uh, maybe was related to someone who was killed by him, you might say, I want to watch him die. But just generally people like, you know, Andrew Wilson, ooh, I can't wait to watch. Yeah, I bet you can't wait to watch. This is like a state sponsored snuff pornography. It's, it was very weird to me to hear people just clamoring to watch somebody's soul leave their body. Like, it's just a disturbing place ever at in America where that's even a debate. And like I said, it is not a theological question because we don't live in a theocracy. Anyway, he did acknowledge in his Truth Social Post. Donald Trump said that the execution can be viewed by people in the immediate family of the victims if they so choose because they deserve to witness it if they want to. And that's all.
Evidence & Documentation
- Historical: The Cheka was founded in December 1917, and the Red Terror decree was issued in September 1918. Both are well documented in the historical record and are the basis of the "Bolshevik" analogy.
- The livestream proposal: Reported by NBC News: Hegseth announced the plan, Trump wavered on it, and the execution was set for December. WELL-DOCUMENTED.
- Trump's Truth Social reversal: Reported here as Candace Owens described it in the video. Not independently confirmed for this page.
- Charlie Kirk's position: Kirk's own words in the archival clip. WELL-DOCUMENTED (on camera).
- "Epstein class" control of government: The framework behind this investigation's Tier 1 analysis. It rests on documented pieces (the Epstein network, Israel Lobby / AIPAC), and the overall claim is STRONG EVIDENCE to SPECULATIVE depending on the specific allegation.
Criticisms & Counter-Arguments
- Supporters of a broadcast execution argue that public executions deter crime and give the public transparency into an act carried out in its name.
- Some conservative commentators made theological arguments for capital punishment. Owens rejects these on the grounds that the United States is not a theocracy.
- "Bolshevik" is a historical analogy, not a literal description. The US has no Cheka, and military executions are rare: Hasan's would be the first military execution since 1961.
