Maria Farmer
American figurative painter, believed to be the first person to report Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to law enforcement — in August 1996, more than a decade before any charge was brought. She is also the rare witness in this investigation who left a record in a second medium: a body of large allegorical paintings, described by reporters as Bosch-like, in which she set down what she says she saw. One of those works places Epstein inside a flying saucer, suspended and tethered to what reads as an FBI antenna.

The 1996 Complaint
Farmer entered Epstein's orbit in 1995, hired as an art researcher to source works for his collection — a role that placed her at his New York office and at properties associated with his circle. In August 1996, at 26, she filed what is now believed to be the first formal criminal complaint against Epstein and Maxwell, with both the NYPD and the FBI.
For more than twenty years that complaint was, publicly, only her word. In December 2025 the Justice Department's partial release of its Epstein files included a 1996 document describing a criminal complaint against Epstein; her attorney confirmed on CNN that the complaint described was hers. CNN and Fox News both reported the release as a vindication of an account she had given consistently for decades.
The significance for this investigation is narrow and specific: the complaint was made in 1996, it named Epstein, and nothing followed for years. That is a fact about institutional response, and it is on the record.
The Paintings
Farmer trained as a figurative painter and, after coming forward publicly in 2019, turned that training on her own testimony. Reporters covering the work have compared it to Hieronymus Bosch — dense, multi-register allegory, heaven above and an inferno below, with recognizable figures worked into the symbolism.
The Daily Beast, which interviewed her about the paintings, reported that she depicts Epstein's associates through animal and monstrous forms, and quoted her explanation for putting Epstein in a flying saucer: "I wouldn't have been surprised if Epstein went up in a spaceship."
Two things must be said plainly about how this page treats that work:
- The paintings are testimony in paint, not evidence of a crime. They record what Farmer says she experienced and how she understands the people around it. Where they depict living individuals, that depiction is an artist's allegorical statement — it is not a finding of fact, and this investigation makes no assertion that any living person shown in her work committed a crime. Several of the individuals reported to appear in her paintings have never been charged with any offense and have denied wrongdoing.
- The symbolism is hers to explain. Where this page describes what the mural shows, it is describing brushstrokes. Where it says what the imagery means, that reading is attributed to Farmer or to the person who published it, and is labelled as such.

What is in the frame
Described strictly as composition, the mural runs as a triptych stacked vertically:
- Upper register — a great yellow sun or arch, with winged figures in flight across it.
- Middle register — a dry, yellow-green landscape studded with bare trees, a tower labelled as a hand, a school bus, and, at centre, a figure suspended inside a transparent ovoid capsule. At the right edge stands a tall antenna-like tower, and beside it a classic disc-shaped flying saucer with a face visible in its window.
- Lower register — a band of fire running the full width, filled with small portrait heads and labels.
What the post says it means
The X post that brought this mural into the investigation frames it this way:
"UAPs & Epstein: Maria Farmer created this Mural. Most people don't grasp how intertwined Epstein was with powerful esoteric networks, transhumanist circles, exotic technologies, and human trafficking. Maria Farmer did. That's why this mural she created shows Epstein inside a 'UFO,' hanging in suspension, tethered by what looks like an FBI antenna — a visual shorthand for those hidden connections and the forces surrounding him."
That reading — that the saucer and the antenna are shorthand for an intersection of intelligence interest, exotic technology, and the trafficking network — is the poster's interpretation, and is recorded here as such. Farmer's own published explanation of the saucer motif is narrower and is quoted above.
The independently reported fact underneath the interpretation is simply this: the first person to report Epstein to the FBI later painted him inside a flying saucer, tethered to an antenna, and said so publicly. Why she chose that image is a question worth asking carefully rather than answering quickly.
Why This Page Sits in the Evil Investigation
This investigation tracks the claim that elite trafficking networks are not merely criminal but sit at the intersection of intelligence capture, occult symbolism, and non-human-intelligence narratives. Farmer is one of the few people who is simultaneously:
- a documented first-mover — her 1996 complaint is now in the released federal record,
- a direct witness rather than a secondhand researcher, and
- an author of primary symbolic material that explicitly joins the Epstein network to UAP imagery.
That combination is why her work is catalogued here alongside Jeffrey Epstein and the broader elite-network material, and why it is cross-referenced from the UAP Physics investigation.
