Iran War

You have probably heard that the United States is bombing Iran. The United States and Israel have been at war with Iran since February 28, 2026. By September 24, 2026, at least 19 American service members had been killed and more than 750 wounded, according to figures a senator cited on the Senate floor, as reported by The Guardian. That war grew out of a shorter one, the twelve-day war of June 2025, when American B-2 bombers struck Iran's nuclear sites.

What most people have not heard is the story around the bombing. Israel's prime minister was asked on camera whether he connects to a "Greater Israel" vision and said "Very much." A four-star American general said on camera that, weeks after 9/11, a Pentagon memo listed seven countries to "take out" in five years, ending with Iran. Congress has just made draft registration automatic for every young man in the country. An Israeli newspaper has published a column saying a ground war in Iran would take 750,000 to 1.5 million American troops.

This investigation explains each of those pieces from the beginning, for someone hearing about them for the first time. Every key claim links to its source, and wherever we can, we quote Israeli newspapers and officials in their own words. Each claim carries an evidence rating (CONFIRMED, STRONG, or MODERATE) so you can see how firmly the record supports it. Every section opens with a plain-language overview and then goes as deep as you want to go: topic pages, then pages on single people, documents, articles, and events beneath them. Start with section 1, or jump to whatever brought you here.

1. Greater Israel

"Greater Israel" is the idea that Israel's rightful borders are far larger than the ones the world recognizes, and it is a long-held plan, not a slogan. It comes in three nested maps. The inner map is everything "between the sea and the Jordan," in the words of the 1977 Likud platform. The middle map adds southern Lebanon to the Litani River and the Syrian side of Mount Hermon, ground the Israeli army now holds. The outer map reads Genesis 15:18 as a promise of land "from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates," which takes in parts of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.

This is not an outsider's accusation. On August 12, 2025, the Times of Israel reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, handed an amulet described as a map of the Promised Land and asked whether he connects to the Greater Israel vision, answered "Very much." Israel's governing coalition claims an "exclusive and inalienable right to all parts of the Land of Israel," and in 2026 Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Israel will "expand our borders to the Litani." The section shows what has already been taken, what settler leaders say in their own words, the neighbors, country by country, why Iran is the obstacle the map runs into, how Americans were brought into it, and the official denials set against Israel's own record.

2. Pentagon Plan for Greater Israel's List of Wars

In a 2007 interview on Democracy Now, retired General Wesley Clark, NATO's former Supreme Allied Commander, said that a few weeks after 9/11 a Joint Staff general showed him a memo from the Secretary of Defense's office describing "how we're going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran."

Twenty-five years later, look at the list. Iraq was invaded, Libya bombed, Somalia struck for two decades, Syria's government brought down, southern Lebanon occupied, Sudan split and brought into a deal with Israel, and Iran, the last name, is being fought now. The five-year timetable slipped. The list did not. The section follows the countries one by one, and the documents behind the list: the 1982 Yinon Plan from an Israeli journal, A Clean Break, written in 1996 for Netanyahu by Americans who later served in the Bush Pentagon, the Project for the New American Century, and the Pentagon's Office of Special Plans. It shows how the list matches the Greater Israel map, the evidence that the list was Israel's goal, and what finishing the list with Iran would take in American soldiers.

3. Law Passed to Force Citizens into the Draft as Soldiers

The draft law never went away. The Military Selective Service Act still requires young men to register. On December 18, 2025, ten weeks before the current war began, the defense bill signed into law made registration automatic: every male "between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, shall be automatically registered," starting December 18, 2026. It passed the House 312–112 and the Senate 77–20, inside a bill of more than a thousand pages, with no separate vote on the draft language.

Everything a draft needs is now written into law except one final act of Congress and the President's signature. Asked on Fox News in March 2026 by a host speaking for worried mothers, the White House Press Secretary said a draft is "not part of the current plan right now, but the president, again, wisely keeps his options on the table." The section lays out the compulsion machinery piece by piece, the penalties for refusing, the softer pressure already pushing Americans into uniform, how much compulsion Congress has added in twenty years, the reserve call-up powers that need no vote at all, every war powers vote, and the members of Congress who stood against it.

4. American Soldiers on the Ground in Iran — Articles

On August 30, 2026, the Jerusalem Post ran a column saying a successful ground campaign against Iran would take "between 750 thousand and 1.5 million American troops," and proposing debt forgiveness to recruit them. In March 2026, Israel's Channel 12 was reported as saying "Israeli soldiers will not be participating on the ground," while Israel's own army chief warned his forces were short of manpower. Israel wants the ground war; it expects Americans to fight it.

The section gathers more than 250 articles, leading with Israeli newspapers, and builds the story from them: the Israeli press on an American ground war, the half-million to million figures, the Pentagon's ground plans, the forces already sent, the more than 90 Americans already put on Iranian soil, the "no boots on the ground" promises set against the deployments, and the hidden toll, including the Marine Corps Reserve commander's March 2026 letter warning that "a mass mobilization could become reality." Every article has its own page, listed in the full article index.

5. American Soldiers on the Ground in Iran — Videos

Some of the most important evidence is people speaking on camera. In 2002, Netanyahu told the U.S. Congress about invading Iraq: "I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region." On 60 Minutes in May 2026, asked about Iran's enriched uranium, he said, "You go in, and you take it out." In March 2026, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told reporters "there are 15 different ways we could come at them with boots on the ground."

This section is a guided set of those clips, each with the speaker, the date, the exact words, and a link to the original video. It puts what the public was told next to what was happening, follows the rescue mission that put American troops inside Iran, covers recruiting, where the Army raised its maximum enlistment age to 42 in March 2026, and shows what verified, geolocated footage reveals about America's war, including the U.S. Tomahawk strike next to the girls' school in Minab on the war's first day.

6. Boots on the Ground in Iran — TV Clips

The public was told, again and again, "no boots on the ground." On television, at the same time, retired generals and admirals, a congressman on the House Armed Services Committee, a military historian, and Fox News host Mark Levin were making the case for sending American soldiers onto Iranian soil: to seize Kharg Island and the Hormuz coast, to go in and take Iran's enriched uranium, and to "finish the job." Asked whether there will be American boots on the ground, Rep. Pat Fallon answered, "I just don't see any other way."

This section puts those clips on one page, two or three across, in date order, so you can press play and hear it for yourself. Each video has its own page with the speaker, the date, and a full transcript, and every video is served from IPFS so it stays up even if the original post comes down.

7. Iran War Videos — Full Clips with Transcripts

This section is the video library for the whole investigation: every clip playable on one page and each with its own page carrying the context and a full transcript. It runs from the roots of the plan to the war now being fought. Gen. Wesley Clark describes the Pentagon memo listing seven countries, and Jeffrey Sachs explains the "Clean Break" doctrine behind the wars. Netanyahu answers "Very much" to the Greater Israel vision and tells 60 Minutes of Iran's uranium, "You go in, and you take it out." Israel's UN ambassador says "We have to finish the job," and Democracy Now! reports that automatic draft registration begins in December 2026.

8. Software for a Very Efficient Draft by Force

The new automatic-registration law lets the Selective Service Director require any "Federal entity" to hand over the data he "determines necessary to identify or register a person." The agency's own 2026–2030 strategic plan says it will "develop matching algorithms" and "deploy Artificial Intelligence/automation tools." In May 2026 it asked companies about a "Conscription Readiness Model" simulation, and in July it asked contractors for software that models the whole draft pipeline, including "no-shows." A January 2026 agency exercise gamed a draft of people with specific skills.

This section shows how those pieces fit into one machine: a fast, controlled draft that plans around the mass refusal that helped stop the Vietnam draft. It covers the data matching, the contracts and budget, the Pentagon databases and Palantir, civil disobedience and the machine, Israel's own draft-enforcement model, a timeline of the build-out, and each official reassurance set beside the record.

9. Plato's Ethics on the Black Horse

Plato, writing about 2,400 years ago, pictured the human soul as a chariot pulled by two horses. The black horse is appetite: comfort, safety, and the wish to avoid trouble. It pulls hard toward whatever is easiest right now.

For a parent in 2026, the black horse is the voice that says don't read the bill, don't watch the full interview, don't bring it up at dinner. This section explains Plato's own words, then the real pressures that keep parents from looking, from being told not to look to the fear of the antisemitism label. It ends with ordinary, lawful politics a parent can use to block a draft and the shortest set of documents a parent can read in one evening.

10. Plato's Ethics on the Black Horse vs. White Horse vs. Chariot Driver

The chariot has three parts. The black horse is appetite. The white horse is spirit: honor, duty, and patriotism. The driver is reason, which has to steer both. Honor without the facts can send a child to war as easily as it can shield him.

This section maps the three onto the ways parents are responding to the Iran war and a possible draft. It shows how parents organized against the Vietnam draft and the Iraq war, and it explains lawful, nonviolent ways to stand up: calls, votes, school boards, state legislatures, and courts. It asks the question every parent asks, whose children go, shows the white horse that shields a child, and sets the case made to patriotic parents beside the record.

11. Plato's Cave

In Plato's cave, prisoners watch shadows on a wall and take them for the real world. The person who turns around and sees the real objects comes back and is mocked. In a modern war, the shadows are the one-word headlines: "obliterated," "no ground troops," "no draft," "no new wars." The real objects are the documents.

This section puts those shadows next to the record. In June 2025 the White House called Iran's nuclear sites "obliterated," while Israeli intelligence, reported by the Times of Israel, said Iran was set back "several years." It shows that the draft machinery is real while officials say nothing is happening, how the "no new wars" promise was kept on the wall, how the country-list story and draft talk were censored, and why people who have seen the record go back to the wall. It closes with a checklist for walking out of the cave yourself.

12. The June 2025 Twelve-Day War

This is the war most people half-remember. Israel struck Iran on June 13, 2025. On June 22, seven American B-2 bombers dropped fourteen 30,000-pound bombs on Fordow and Natanz, and Tomahawk missiles hit Isfahan. Iran fired back, including at the U.S. base at Al Udeid in Qatar, and a ceasefire took hold on June 24.

The section gives the day-by-day timeline and sets the public nuclear case beside the intelligence. In March 2025, the Director of National Intelligence told Congress "Iran is not building a nuclear weapon," and the President answered, "I don't care what she said." It shows how Israel brought America in, what the IAEA actually found, and why the case repeats the Iraq WMD precedent. It covers the ceasefire, announced on Truth Social while Iran's foreign minister said there was "NO agreement," the civilian toll, what the war cost Americans, and how it led to the wider war that began in February 2026.

13. Who Pushed the Iran War

This is the central question of this investigation, and its answer: the war was pushed by the government of Israel, which had sought an American war with Iran for more than thirty years, working through its prime minister, its intelligence services, and its lobby in Washington. On June 22, 2025, the Jerusalem Post reported that Netanyahu and his minister Ron Dermer had "succeeded in convincing the US administration to get involved." In March 2026, Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, resigned with a letter saying "Iran posed no imminent threat" and "we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby." And when the State Department's legal adviser wrote down the legal basis for the 2026 war, he said the United States entered it "at the request of and in the collective self-defense of its Israeli ally."

The section follows Netanyahu's thirty-year campaign, AIPAC and the lobby, the think tanks, the intelligence that did not match the public case, and the money. It lays out how American power was captured and steered toward war, including Mossad in the Pentagon, the pressure on Marjorie Taylor Greene, Charlie Kirk and the Iran war, the Epstein network as a tool of control, the fusing of the two militaries, and narrative control and censorship. It ends with the people who opposed the war and what happened to them.
