What this video shows
Pat Fallon is a Republican congressman from Texas who sits on the House Armed Services Committee, the committee that oversees the Pentagon and the US military. On Fox Business on April 6, 2026, while the public was still being told there would be "no boots on the ground," he said plainly that he expects American troops inside Iran: "I personally think it's gonna be, uh, Boots, at least special ops. American special operators on the ground with Allied allies in the region and air cover." He added that the US cannot leave "until the job is done."
When the host pressed him, "So you do believe that we're gonna have some boots on the ground," Fallon answered: "I just don't see any other way." He then described the size of the task himself: Iran has about 93 million people and is, in his words, "five times the size of Iraq," a country the US invaded in 2003 when it had roughly 25 million people.
Fallon said he believes most Iranians oppose their government, so that once American forces act, people will "rise up" and the IRGC (the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's elite military force) will "melt away." That is the same promise Americans heard before Iraq. Here it comes from a sitting member of the committee that oversees the military, speaking of American special operators on Iranian soil in a country more than three times Iraq's 2003 population.
Where this fits: this clip is one of the TV clips calling for American boots on the ground in Iran. For the full story, what the public was told next to what was happening, see American Soldiers on the Ground in Iran — Videos.

with that. So, uh, I personally think it's gonna be, uh, Boots, at least special ops. American special operators on the ground with Allied allies in the region and air cover, and we have to change this tact of the Tehran government where we can't leave. You can't leave until the job is done.
So you do believe that we're gonna have some boots on the ground. I just don't see any other way. I mean, Iran is 93 million people. It's five times the size of Iraq.
It's larger in size than staying France, the United Kingdom, and Germany combined. It's massive. 93 million people, when we invaded Iraq, the world, they had a population of 25 million people. But here's the thing that's in our favor.
80% of the people in Iran, hate this regime. So, once that an action like that is taken, I do believe that people are gonna rise up, and the IRGC is gonna melt away, and then we can see some kind of moderate faction coming out, and then eventually taking over. What do you make of the
