Levin goes after the one promise Americans were given about the war with Iran. According to the poster's transcription, he tells the crowd: "'No boots on the ground,' they tell us, ever! You might as well retire the Marines and the Army!" Then, in the machine transcript: "What do you think our enemies hear when we keep saying no boots on the ground? We motivate them." And: "People say no more forever wars. Well, this is how you get forever wars, isn't it?" He is not pointing to one mission. He is arguing against ruling out American ground troops at all, and he is saying it to a pro-Israel audience.
This is not the only time. Menahan's post, "Make that thrice," answers a post by TCNetwork. TCNetwork had said Levin called for boots on the ground in Iran, Levin denied it, and TCNetwork then posted a second clip ("He didn't say it once. He said it twice."). Levin makes the same "retire the Marines and the Army" argument on 77 WABC radio on July 15, 2026, a separate appearance from this CUFI speech, in Mark Levin: "We Have Something Called the Marines".
