Boots on the Ground in Iran — TV Clips
Americans were promised this would be an air war. From the first weeks of the war that began on February 28, 2026, the public line was "no boots on the ground." Now watch what was said on television at the same time. In these clips, retired generals and admirals, a congressman on the House Armed Services Committee, a military historian, and one of the best-known hosts on Fox News make the case, on camera, for sending American soldiers onto Iranian soil.
Listen for how specific they get. They name the places American troops would go: Kharg Island, the small island that ships most of Iran's oil; the ports of Chabahar and Jask; the coast of the Strait of Hormuz. They name the mission: go in and take Iran's enriched uranium, which bombs cannot destroy. And they name the goal: "finish the job," meaning the end of Iran's government. A sitting congressman, asked if there will be American boots on the ground, answers, "I just don't see any other way." A military historian says the United States will "have to send in ground troops or take out the regime." Mark Levin tells a Christians United for Israel audience that saying "no boots on the ground" only motivates the enemy.
Notice who is making the argument. One admiral is introduced on air as a member of the Iran Policy Project of JINSA, the Jewish Institute for National Security of America, a Washington think tank built around U.S.–Israel military cooperation. Mark Levin gives his speech at CUFI, America's largest pro-Israel organization. Israel's own press has said openly that Israeli infantry would stay "closer to home" (see American Soldiers on the Ground in Iran — Videos). The soldiers these voices want on Iranian soil are American sons and daughters, drafted if need be under the automatic registration law that takes effect December 18, 2026.
Press play on any clip below. They are in date order, oldest first. Each title under a video opens that video's own page, with who is speaking, what they said, and a full transcript. Every video is served from IPFS, a peer-to-peer network, so it stays up even if the original post is deleted.

How these clips were collected
Each clip was found on X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, or FoxNews.com, checked against its original source, and saved with its date and poster. When a post only re-shared someone else's video, we went back to the original post. When the same clip was posted by several accounts, it appears here once, and its page lists the other posts. The working list, with every URL we were given, is kept in boots_videos.csv.
Transcripts are machine-made. They can mishear names, so check the exact words against the video before quoting them.
